LiteSpeed Advanced over Aggressive

Hostinger presents LiteSpeed as three presets: Basic, Advanced and Aggressive. Advanced is marked recommended, which is usually a sign to look closer rather than click.

Advanced gives minification, font-display optimisation, deferred JS and DNS prefetch. Aggressive adds the four things that actually change how a page renders: combining CSS and JS into single files, loading CSS asynchronously behind critical CSS, stripping CSS it believes is unused, and lazy-loading iframes.

On a site whose hero is an animated SVG driven by keyframes in a snippet-loaded stylesheet, unused-CSS removal is a coin flip. We are on Advanced until the design stops moving, then Aggressive gets a real test with a page-by-page before and after.
